What is rider sag on a dirt bike? Rider sag on a dirt bike is the measurement of how much the front forks and rear shocks compress under your weight when sat on the bike in full riding gear. The amount of rider sag affects a dirt bike’s handling by changing the ride height of the front and rear of the bike.

The sag on a dirt bike can be changed to suit your style of riding. It can also be adjusted for the surface and type of dirt bike riding you’re doing. Finally, you will want to set the correct rider sag to suit your physical size and weight.
